Can you ping them?
Can you start up a 5250 session on them?

If you start up a session try this command:
WRKREGINF EXITPNT(QIBM_QTMF*)
8=Work with exit programs
If there are any programs here then someone installed an exit point program and you now have to be approved.

The other possibility is that your firewall team just cracked down and each incoming address has to be approved. We tried that and quickly abandoned it. With a mobile workforce it was too fluid. Actually it was a MAJOR customer whose purchaser was doing ordering while at night classes that put the kibosh on that.

Another possibility is that your coworker is using SFTP or FTPS and you're using plain FTP and they cracked down on that. We used to allow ftp traffic from the internet and have since shut that down in favor of SFTP. We still allow ftp for outbound though.
