But the example given seems to be based on a pooled worker model, not a
persistent connection model with each connection getting its own
exclusive child-server job, launched at client sign-on, and terminated
at user sign-off (or 2 minutes after client heartbeats cease to be
received).
Can this whole protocol, based on "spawn," "socketpair," "sendmsg," and
"recvmsg" even be applied to the situation at hand (let alone applied
without spending months re-engineering the whole server architecture)?
