As I understand it, you are calling your program from QCMD.
If so, then When your program finishes and QCMD regains control you want your message to stay on the screen.

Conceptually, as I see it, a message queue is just something is memory that isn't attached to a physical display. So somehow you need to tell QCMD to pick up the message you sent and display it on the screen.

I would need to sign on and experiment and I can't do that now, but I suggest you
google ibm i qcmd display message
and check out the first couple of articles there. They *might* give you some insight or ideas. Possibly, you need to send a request message to QCMD.

Oh yeah, don't forget F10 in QCMD.
