Thank you, but I tried this before. There's no (perceivable) output
at all.

Going from memory so options might not be exact... You have to send it
to the caller (be that a menu or another program) which, if memory
serves, has a bog standard message subfile within it (such as an IBM
Menu object). Easiest way is *PGMBDY and, I think, 1 in the call stack
counter which causes it to be sent to the caller (the previous
program/menu) which should then handle the display of that message.
