As much as more people should be using the iACS tool too often we'll continue to see IT only installing what they want the users to see: 5250. Or if they just have to install the full package they'll just throw up a few 5250 icons on their desktop and tell them to use those, make sure iACS doesn't appear on the start menu and hope the users don't discover it.
IT would much rather play whack-a-mole in trying to control the tools users use to access the data than try to secure the data.
