This is still on that issue with finding everything that isn't a ZIP archive, in an IFS directory that contains an enormous number of objects.

I've already established that I can use the SAV command to (in combination with the RST command) copy objects from one directory to another. And to do so with only the objects fitting a particular name pattern.

But it looks like, with the bewildering array of parameters, I should be able to save all the objects in a directory that *don't* fit a particular name pattern (e.g., everything that *doesn't* end in ".zip").

But is there a "For Dummies" guide to how the parameters of the SAV command fit together? And how I would accomplish this?

As it stands, since this is a research exercise, it wouldn't even be necessary to save the contents of any subdirectories found, or to ever restore the objects, so long as I can list what's in the save file.
