The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I hear people talking about copying and pasting a long series of commands from Notepad or excel into RDi or some such thing. I assume they then make a program on it.
I have another option.
Here, when we create a program we have to create a project, get it approved and process the whole thing through change management. Then, the cost of the change management software prices it out of installing it on all 15 lpars of IBM i since many of them only have a small ROUTINES library I update.
So my alternative is to copy and paste them into iACS Run SQL scripts. Then I simply prefix the commands with CL:
As in:
-- category: Dekko IT
-- description: Change journal receivers to a new one to clean up the old ones.
--
CL: CHGJRN JRN(QCPMGTDB/QSQJRN ) JRNRCV(*GEN);
CL: CHGJRN JRN(QMGTC/QYPSDBJRN ) JRNRCV(*GEN);
CL: CHGJRN JRN(QMGTC2/QSQJRN ) JRNRCV(*GEN);
...
Then I connect to a system, do a Run All, disconnect, connect to the next, repeat.
