The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

These replies are both accurate.
I would discourage you from putting in any entries not served up by your IBM i but instead to rely upon a DNS server. Basically if you do not see the address in CFGTCP 1. Work with TCP/IP interfaces then it probably should not be in the host table entry.
Your list of DNS servers used are in: CFGTCP 12. Change TCP/IP domain information
You can have up to 3 DNS servers listed.
If you don't know what address(es) to use talk to your network people.
If you just cannot get ahold of them...
On my system I have:
Domain name server:
Internet address . . . . . . . '10.10.4.250'
Internet address . . . . . . . '10.27.4.180'
Internet address . . . . . . . '10.17.4.180'
On my laptop I run
C:> ipconfig /all
and get:
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.17.4.180
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 127.0.0.1
Primary WINS Server . . . . . . . : 10.17.4.180
Secondary WINS Server . . . . . . : 10.10.4.250
10.10.4.252
Apparently in a Windows shop your WINS servers are also your DNS Servers. May not be a rule carved in stone though
