I needed a console session on my 7.2 test box today and every time I
tried to connect with ACS using the "5250 Console" tab, it failed with a
MSGSOCK007. I then went to the "System Configurations" tab, highlighted
the server in question and clicked on the "Locate Console" button. It
found the console so I highlighted that and clicked on the "Console"
button. Lo and behold, the console came up.
When I go back to the "5250 Console" tab, it still fails with the
MSGSOCK007. I get the same results when I try the "Virtual Control
Panel", but that works from the Systems Configurations path too.
Is this anything to be worrying about?
