I have a JS-12 on v 7.2 that I plan to retire. This guy is the end of the line for many libraries that I have carried along for too long. I have a new Power 9 9009 41A v 7.4 that has plenty of space but there is really no need to move these libraries because I can't remember when last used them. I would like to retain my status as a packrat so I need a suggestion on how best to save these libraries so they can be restored if necessary but not taking up valuable space on the IBM i.
Tape is not an option because the tape drive for the JS-12 (external) is dead. So, I thought saving each library as a save file (as tedious as that might be) and then pushing them over to a share somewhere would be the best option. Can you think of a better way to handle it?
