The boss has proposed PHP several times to upper management but always
turned down.
All levity aside, I think it comes down to a choice whether you're going
forward with the platform or just running down the clock to off-migration.
If one is managing a going-forward commitment to IBM i in the enterprise
and one is not taking every opportunity to migrate to open source in
situations where it fits the mission, one is missing the boat.
Python and Node and PHP form the mainstream for the coming decade, they're
not merely amusing options.
