If you want to use 7-Zip *program*, that is certainly a good choice,
but there are better ways to do that these days than Scott's port.
It's available from IBM through yum or ACS.

Also, it is important to note that the 7z *format* is NOT compatible
with the zip format. The 7-Zip program can create archives in several
different formats, one of which is zip.

I love 7-Zip, but with so many ways to handle zip files (some of which
come preinstalled on *every* IBM i system, such as jar), I don't
really think it's particularly worth looking into 7-Zip unless you are
specifically interested in the 7z format, which usually compresses
tighter than zip.
