I think that will allow you to create a MQT..

Why you'd bother is another question. You do realized the Db2 for IBM i
doesn't support system maintained MQTs and that you'll have to manually run
the refresh? And that the MQT must not be in use when you want to refresh
it.

An alternative to running an MQT refresh would be a set of triggers over
the base table(s) that update the MQT table. But with a UDTF involved that
would be complex.

Thus, I've never bothered to use MQTs. Instead, I've used EVI indexes with
aggregate values instead, those are system maintained.
