MQT over SP? -- MIDRANGE-L

I have a Db2 stored procedure (SP) that returns a result set. I really
need to make a materialized query table (MQT) over that SP. When I try, I
get a SQLSTATE 42601.

Anyone know of a way to accomplish this? Simply copying the code from the
SP isn't an option.
