Re: QSH db2 command and qsys2.joblog_info() - exit status 1

Hi Charles,

I haven't used that table function so I looked it up at

https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_74/rzajq/rzajqudfjobinfo.htm
and I don't see any example where it passes '*' as a parameter. The
closest I saw was

SELECT * FROM TABLE(QSYS2.JOB_INFO( )) X
WHERE JOB_TYPE NOT IN ('SBS','SYS','RDR,'WTR')|)|

When I ran the above on a v7r3 box, it worked fine.

When I tried your version

SELECT * FROM TABLE(QSYS2/JOB_INFO('*'))

I got

occurred on member QSQPTABL file QSQPTABL in library QSYS2. The error
code
is 1. The error codes and their meanings follow:
1 -- The external program or service program returned SQLSTATE
22023. The
text message returned from the program is: JOB_STATUS_FILTER PARAMETER
INVALID .

So more info...

From an interactive QSH, (on the problem box)

db2 "select * from table (qsys2.joblog_info('*'))"

returns
0 RECORD(S) SELECTED.

Works fine on another box...

QSH CMD('db2 "select * from table (qsys2.joblog_info(''*''))" >
loglog.txt')

running
select * from table (qsys2.joblog_info('*'))

in STRSQL returns data in the same 5250 session...

This works fine
qsh cmd('db2 "select * from sysibm.sysdummy1" > test.txt')

And the problem command works fine when run on a different system...
