I'd LOVE to know how to establish the icon link on the desktop. Care to share details?

First create an icon/shortcut that opens the IFS directly, then go into the preferences and specify the starting folder.

The first is controlled by the shortcut having a target property of something like: "C:\Users\Public\IBM\ClientSolutions\Start_Programs\Windows_x86-64\acslaunch_win-64.exe /PLUGIN=ifs /SYSTEM=mysystem.domain.name.com". That will open the IFS on the specified system.

Once you have that, go open it and go into Edit-->Preferences and specify a location to start in (this would be the folder that you want ACS to open when the icon is clicked).
