Thanks for all the comments and recommendations from everyone. At the time
management has suggested concentrate on the APIs themselves and are
satisfied at this time with testing while using the vpn.

I greatly appreciate all the insight and advice I get from everyone in the
IBM i community.

Thanks,

Rob

In regard to accessing the IBM i HTTP server from the Internet,
network/security experts recommend having a "reverse proxy" server on one
internal network forward requests to the IBM i HTTP server, which is
addressed on another internal network. The topology might look like:

Internet <=> Internal Firewall <==> Reverse Proxy <==> IBM i HTTP Server.

Which is comparable to:

Internet <==> Internal Firewall <==> VPN Server <==> IBM i Telnet or
other TCP/IP Server.

Ask your network people about configuring a reverse-proxy for you, which
might handle user authentication and encryption for you. They should
understand the configuration.

Hi all, I want to test calling REST APIs and IWS from the internet.
Would
anyone know how I could do this?

Thanks,
