According http://public.dhe.ibm.com/systems/power/docs/systemi/v6r1/en_US/unix9.pdf, highest level of TLS that can be specified using GSK API gsk_attribute_set_enum is GSK_PROTOCOL_TLSV1
7.1 and 7.2 - up to 1.2 (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_71/apis/gsk_attribute_set_enum.htm)
7.3 and 7.4 - up to 1.3 (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_73/apis/gsk_attribute_set_enum.htm)

I suppose HTTPAPI cant jump higher than IBM i API allows

Our V6R1 box is accessing secured web services (on an Amazon cloud
server) via HTTPAPI. What is the highest level of TLS that we can
achieve without going to V7?
