Hi, Dan,
The new IBM i Access Client Solutions (iACS) is mostly written in Java, so, you no longer really need to use that "installer" that IBM provides.
All you need to do is to "un-zip" the .zip file into an appropriate directory, e.g. : c:\iACS ...
Then, to launch the new iACS, just click on the acsbundle.jar ... that's the main file that contains pretty much all of the java parts of iACS.
(I learned this trick a few years ago when iACS first arrived and at that time I could not get the "installer" thing to work.)
Hope that helps,

I received a new laptop, so I need to install ACS on it. Unfortunately, my
employer is using Cylance Protect to block all javascript from running. I
can file an "IT Security Exception Request", but it has to go all the way

if I can avoid it.
Is there a workaround to install this without using the javascript? I'd
really like to have the file associations installed. I don't know what
else the install_acs_64.js offers that just using acsbundle.jar to start
ACS does, but I'd rather be able to just do one click to start 5250
sessions.
