Hello Gad,

First, remove the root share, or make the share read-only and see who complains...then remove it.

Second, you need to secure libraries by way of proper object security in the QSYS file system. All users need *use access to the QSYS library...they can't sign on without it. And don't share QSYS.LIB via NetServer.

Proper object-level security will reduce risk and potential damage. Only share what you must.

Subject: QSYS.LIB under IFS root

Hello all

The root share in the IFS (as seen in iNavigator) is Read/Write and for security reasons I would like to prevent users of the the IFS from accessing QSYS.LIB looking at permissions of QSYS.LIB I see that "Public" has a "Use" access.

Can I just simlpy revoke it ?
Will the be complications/repercussions/problems ?

TIA
Gad
