When you run this interactively, it gives a nice status message at the bottom of the screen while the job is running.  But, in batch, it just gets logged in the joblog and nobody sees it.

If I remember right, if that's done in an interactive job, it goes to the message line on the terminal.

But we're talking about a batch job.

I actually *have* that construct in the CL program I'm attempting to profile:
SNDPGMMSG  MSGID(CPF9898) MSGF(QCPFMSG) +                           MSGDTA('Restoring original source +                    members...') TOPGMQ(*EXT) MSGTYPE(*STATUS)

and I'm not entirely sure where the message goes when it runs in the batch job.
