The proper way to ask a question on Midrange-L - READ AND DO!

Today I accidentally opened a thread on Midrange-L The thread was titled

Moving file from ifs to microsoft one drive.

I'm non interested in that so the thread was closed in my view. BUT only three posts into that thread the subject changed to "DR realtime replication." Wait what? That's not even close to the same thing! What happened?

You guessed it, the person who asked the "DR realtime replication" question did NOT start a new thread but instead replied to an existing thread with a changed subject.

Don't do that.

THAT thread is one I would have engaged in as I work in that A LOT. But I didn't because I didn't see it.

So for maximum value to yourself AND others, please start a NEW thread by writing your question in a new email.
