Hello Monty,

I know I could set the device limit to 2 on all use profiles and set the system value to *NOMAX to overcome the auto sign on issues as well as set the profiles that need something other than 2.
I would prefer to set the exception at the user profile level rather than at the system value level.
Looking for suggestions.
I'd do as you suggested. Every user profile has it's own LMTDEVSSN attribute.
Btw., why were you asked to set QLMTDEVSSN globally?
The short answer is that is what the powers that be wanted the default for all current and future users to be.
This way when a new user profile was created the default for limit device sessions on the CRTUSRPRF command could be left at *SYSVAL rather than having to be entered.
Yes I know I could change the command default, not really considered acceptable either.
Still looking for possible solutions to the issue created by the auto sign on in the telnet exit other than those I have already stated.
