I have a white paper which refers to future versions of IBM i as "IBM i next" and "IBM i next +1"

I don't expect IBM i next out until after the end of support for 7.2 in April 2021. IBM does not support x+3 (except for the 'extended support' stuff). This seems to match the roadmap above.
