An LTO6 can write 160-350MB/sec depending on compression. So we maxed out the 8Bit channel rather fast.
Same with VTL - i tested with 4 VTL with 8GBit each - they do rather idle job when you only can
send with 8GBit...

Honest though, we never made it to LTO6 before going VTL. And our experience with LTO5 never went into production. LTO4 was really where we converted.
