Indeed. Maybe ssh-keygen doesn't create this one by itself. I never tried. :-)

I copied rob_gdisys.pub to gdl57 C:\Users\rob\.ssh Then I copied it to authorized.keys in that same directory. authorized.keys did not previously exist.


It is authorized_keys, with an underscore. Very important!

Also note the comment from Kevin. Ssh as client per default searches just for a limited scope of file names. I'd opt to rename the files in the i.
