You can achieve reliability with any language, but it is a lot easier
with RPG than with PHP, for example.  But there is no way a PHP will
match the speed of a RPG program, now, for a web site with little use
that can be irrelevant, but if you have a lot of use it does make a big
difference.

RPG is no better or lesser than any other programming language when you just do yet another web app.

Reliability and speed is also achievable with Linux on POWER.

I'm pretty sure that Linux is way below yearly license cost of IBM i, plus you may use all processing resources in the system, AFAIK without additional cost (as long as there's no firmware licensing limitation, I'm not sure if such a thing exists from IBM).
