Thanks for pointing out. I know that this possibility exists. But as I wrote elsewhere in this thread, I also must find a sweet spot between too many updates (times users using this screen) and delay of updates. It's possible that this sweet spot simply doesn't exist, depending on situation. Plus additional labour to make sure users won't get annoyed by losing their selection after an automatic screen update.

After reviewing the discussion, I'm more and more convinced, there are many approaches to lessen the extent of displaying old data. But there's no final solution in 5250 (as in plain HTML/http also).
