Subject: Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: Fwd: main difference between expandable and singlepage subfile

Design question:  What are users looking for in a 9,999 record subfile?

When you went to page-at-a-time, how does a user ever get to, say, record 8,555?  Or does he just start at the beginning and process records & screens one-at-a-time?

Hi Jay
You will be surprised!
I have had to change quite a number of load all subfile programs to a
page at a time subfile programs, because the total number of records
to display surpassed 9,999 And this number WAS valid Import export
systems was one of the main culprits The number of parcels that had
yet to be investigated by customs, far exceeded 9,999, depending upon
the time of year Could the system have been created better to start
with, to circumvent this situation in the first place Oh yeah But
unfortunately - I had to work with what I was given
