The "lazy" way to do things is whatever is the path of least resistance. For a lot of people, in the time it took for you to read this e-mail thread, they could have already written the RPG wrapper and moved on to the next problem.

Others just go ahead write everything in RPG, period. Then there is no time wasted choosing which language, no mental energy wasted in remembering which language has which functions.

I won't speak to whether your 31 years have been wasted, but I would say that the path of least resistance is different for different people, and since we don't know what comes easiest to *you*, we are just throwing suggestions out there to see what sticks.
