so we have an in-house sftp engine that uses PASE
the source file is on the IBMi as a flat text file - one long field (12000)
ccsid 65535
for every outbound sftp we export file to IFS first using cpytoimpf (ends
up wit ccsid as 1252)

for most vendors this works fine and they recieve the file as expected.

we have come across a vendor that wants it in EBCDIC (or so they say) and
they have a process on their end to convert from EBCDIC to ASCII.

sooo, is there a way to sftp a file in "EBCIDIC" format?

how is that achieved? Showing my ignorance here I know, but trying to
understand.
