Our main 3rd party billing package uses the LDA to pass info for interactive programs from program to program.
Sometimes we wanted to schedule an interactive process, it became a real PIA, because first you had to figure out how to load the LDA.

And, our 3rd party credit card app had to be customized to use the LDA, since it had to pass data back.

We only use it because the package does.

Be careful, data areas can cause issues if using Save While Active, (they CANNOT be saved, if locked)

Subject: LDA Question

I'm just interested to hear if anyone uses the local data area these days?  I tend to always use a named data area but I have a situation where it would be helpful to use the local data area, but I'm wondering if I would step on someone's toes in the process.
