Maybe. You have to remember that PDF is a container format. What is inside could be text, or it could be a picture of text. There are utilities that will convert some PDF's to text, and you could parse those. I used to do that, but hosted the conversion on linux boxes. Either that type of utility or Java could easily do the job. Just a lot of work. PDF2TEXT was what I used to use.
