You can't create a view over an S/36 flat file. I can't say I've tried with one created with CRTPF.

Hi Carlos

SQL-created tables will show up in the system tables.

These 2 views - you can DSPFD SYSTABLES or DSPFD SYSPSTAT - one of the elements of the WHERE clause is DBXREL = 'Y' - PFs created with CRTPF and using RCDLEN are not relational, therefore, they are excluded from these views.

A person COULD make their own views and include them, I suppose - just use a different name, right?

Cheers
Vern

Flat files don't show up in iACS Schemas, so I'm not at all surprised.

I was just curious how many people know that these two "tables" do not return files created via CRTPF specifying the RCDLEN instead of DDS.
