Instead of 2am, why not run it at 1:59am?

We have used AJS for as long as I can remember. I do not know the answer
to your question, nor do I know if Paul is right.

I always schedule jobs either 1:59am and earlier, or 3:01am and later.
Never in the 2am hour. I only applied the "nothing in the 2am hour" rule
because it made *ME* feel more comfortable.

However, I always thought that AJS *WOULD* handle the scheduled jobs
correctly. I got that impression from this list. But I can't prove it.

In fall, jobs scheduled between 1 and 2 will run twice.
In spring, jobs scheduled between 1 and 2 will be skipped.

We avoid the 1 to 2 scheduling window for these reasons.
I'd schedule your save for 2:01.

Paul

Subject: Time change and the Advanced Job Scheduler

Hello all,

With the time change coming up this weekend, I have a question for the
group. I know that our system is set up to automatically handle the time
change itself. We run our weekly full system backup out of the Advanced
Job Scheduler, and it runs at 2 am on Sunday mornings. Does the AJS
automatically know to only run it once or will it run it at the "first" 2
am, and then try to run it again at the second "2 am"? As always all
thoughts are very much appreciated. Thanks!
