A compiler glitch is not out of the realm of possibility. Some tricks didn't carry over during conversions. For example, I'm not so sure multiplying a 6 digit date by 10000.01 to do date conversion carried over so well.

Maybe a compiler glitch which made it work before converting? Software is never 100% error free.
