+1 on Run SQL Scripts for lots of things and for the printed output action. Now we are getting a pretty good IFS tool there, as well, IMHO.

I'm not saying I don't use the green screen. I just rarely use PDM. I never use STRPDM. On very rare occasions maybe WRKMBRPDM or WRKOBJPDM. But since it's not on most lpars I normally use alternatives.
I try to use the stuff within iACS as much as possible. The capability for spool files is far superior to any green screen app, and is no slower. Run SQL scripts is a must for administration.
I only use the webby stuff for that not within iACS. I would use it more if it was faster.
I use the HMC when needed. This week I had to do an emergency shutdown/restart of our main production lpar from home. With no access to any command line, system console or otherwise. HMC is a godsend for such work. Yes I got to the 5250 console on the HMC but when you try to log on and it's bogged down it helps to have the other parts of the HMC to power cycle that lpar.
But I really don't use the graphs and stuff on the HMC.

Now my version of administration and yours may be different. Some of you have to frequently UPDDTA (or whatever) certain application tables to fix data gone bad. I do ZERO of that kind of stuff. One, we really have to fill out some paperwork on my our system is so bad we have to fudge it like that. That tends to get you to avoid that. Two, I'm more of a system admin than an applications admin.
