In the end, its plainly Skytap operating Power9 boxes in Microsoft data centres.
Not that spectacular - maybe just for the professional infrastructure and
for sure the adequate pricing? :)

I am not sure if anyone still wants to commercially offer some of these „we migrate
your old RPG stuff into java programs“ solutions without hazzle.

True, the article is about migrating applications off IBM i and its native
language environment. There is no mention of anyone providing IBM i on
Power virtual machine environments, except perhaps that ambiguous reference
to "a very similar environment as the AS/400".
