New power9 9009-41A - console trouble


Starting to work with my new 9009-41A, in the early stages planning for a
migration to it...

I walked through the early console config steps and had a solid LAN console
through several IPLs... now after failing to IPL from I_BASE_01 DVD in the
external DVD burner a few times I am not able to get my console connected
again...

I am cabled direct from laptop to top port in adapter (same spot as when
console worked earlier...) and can ping the static address I configured for
the LAN console. I can connect via the virtual control panel at the same
address, when I launch the console it looks like the userid/password
authenticates correctly (it gives an error if I try a wrong password, and
no error with the right password...).

Each and every time I am ending up with the A6005008...
