Did you catch he was working on PF38? Kinda was in the subject line and stuff. Or maybe you were like me and didn't even know that S38 environment uses the same CRTPF command but just calls it directly out of QSYS38?
I suspect that using a custom library in front of QSYS would buy you nothing. How would you differentiate between the CRTPF you copied from QSYS and the CRTPF you copied from QSYS38? And, how would you tell option 14 on a PF38 source member to stop going to QSYS38 but instead use your differentiated command in your custom library?

Never was a big fan of the modified system library list. Instead I prefer a startup program which modifies system commands.
