I think you are on to something here.
I noticed I was missing my usual SET OPTION statement. I added it.
I'm not getting the message now and I am no longer seeing 'cursor not opened' messages in the joblog.

Still not getting any results.
Tried RDi debugger with a SEP but can't get that to work. There's a thread on that in the WDSC list.
