Move to SAN. The writing is all over the wall. Including with the new 5010E
at least some of the drives (I haven't looked at all of 'em) show *ZERO
maintenance on the SSDs.
On a recent (this week) quote the AMC for SSDs on a V5010 was $7,900 and for
the V5010E $0 and that was for 5 years of maintenance on the SAN. In this
case the SSDs were the 800G size.
