One of the things I prefer about idate over timestamp_format was the built
in error handling. If you get a bad date idate will return a null. If you
get a bad date using timestamp_format - crash! Sure, you can wrap that up
in a procedure with the proper error handling but idate already has all
that.

format into a timestamp.

Example:

Date(Timestamp_Format(Digits(YourColumn), 'HH24MISSMMDDYYYY'))

SQL tells me token iDate not valid. I'm reading the docs.
