For QNTC, you have two real options:
1. Have matching users and passwords (including case) on IBMi and AD.
2. Use EIM, and configure your IBMi users with no password and set to "Manage this password remotely through some other platform"

I've ran EIM since '08, so I don't have current references on the setup.

Subject: EIM and QNTC

Hello sages

I'm looking for a way to let IBM i users write files to Windows-server directories using QNTC + MKDIR It is possible if users have the same ID and password on the i and in the domain, but this synchronization is a pain in the neck.

Is there a way to map IBMi local users to domain users without going through SSO ?
If not, can you point me to a (hopefully) simple reference/instruction manual of SSO ?

TIA
Gad
