To use the native ODBC driver to you will also need to install the yum unixODBC package as well.

Works great with the new Mono .Net Environment.

If you're at MITEC next week you can see it in action with .Net

subject: new ODBC driver

There is an ODBC driver we can install in the IFS.

I recall it being announces at the same time as V7.4

It is located at the ACS download site:

<snip>
ODBC driver for IBM i 7.2 or later
IBMiODBC_driver.zip

Note: The ODBC driver for IBM i 7.2 or later installs and runs on IBM i.
For a PC based ODBC driver, use either the ACS Windows App Pkg or ACS Linux App Pkg.

</snip>

the zip contains a RPM file without instructions for install. :-(

i used "yum install ..." after unzipping.
