Well depending on what you are talking about it may be quite easy.

Let's look at QHST to start. Search for generate-syslog at

I don't see syslog yet mentioned here:

Has anyone come across the need to send files in the 'syslog' format from an IBMi system to another, say, x86 system. Apparently, our platform has a little more challenges in sending this type of file that other platforms. I've seen some 3rd party software that will facilitate this.
