Beautiful, thanks Paul.

And am I right that the TR is just one of my PTFs?  If I'm reading this correctly, SF99727 contains the technology refresh.  Much like SF99730 contains the cumulative PTFs.  And I thought SF99731 contained all the groups except the cume.  But my download request gave me a lot more than I expected:

SF99225
SF99252
SF99333
SF99433
SF99581
SF99703
SF99722
SF99723
SF99724
SF99725
SF99726
SF99727
SF99728
SF99729
SF99730
SF99731
SF99859
SF99867
SF99875
SF99876

That seems like... a lot.  :)

You can load latest CUM, latest TR, and all groups all together.

Then option 1 - Set all PTFs delayed.

Apply type . . 1 1=Set all PTFs delayed
2=Apply immediate, set delayed PTFs
3=Apply only immediate PTFs

LPAR will IPL several times to get them all applied.

Subject: Getting up to date on 7.3

It's been a while since I managed OS upgrades.  We're at 7.3 TR3 (yeah,
I know, but at least we're on 7.3!) and we'd like to get current.  I
still get confused with TRs, cumes and groups.  The last I remember, the
belt and suspenders approach was to apply all groups, IPL, then apply
TR6, IPL, and finally apply the cume and IPL.  I don't if this roadmap
makes sense anymore, or if the roads even still exist.  For all I know,
there's a George Jetson jetcar that will take us from TR3 to TR6
magically, although I sort of doubt that.

Any advice from the experts here?  Thanks in advance.
