Active but Unusable RMC Connections

AS/400 Fans,

Does anyone have any tips on troubleshooting RMC connections. On the HMC
diagrmc shows a warning for each LPAR saying each has an active but unusable
RMC connection. This appears to have just started today. I've tried
rebooting the HMC, and bouncing TCP/IP on a couple of the LPARs.

I noticed this when trying to move tape controllers from one LPAR to
another. Yesterday I was able to move the controllers, but had to "force
remove" one of them from one LPAR to get it moved. Today all attempts to
move them say to perform this action I need to establish an RMC connection.
