Mark, I was talking about the PASE command-line utility, not the ILE lib.
Use it all the time to convert spooled files from CPYSPLF *TOSMTF which
come out in EBCDIC text.

Never mind, I'm wrong. The yum iconv (iconv-gnu-1.14-2.ibmi7.1.ppc64.rpm)
is now adequate.

Some earlier version didn't deal correctly with IBM-037 ... but it works
now.
