Yes you will get #1.

Do be careful however. If you do this routinely you'll be OK. If you do this once every couple years you'll set yourself up for disaster. Remember that TR groups require all MF PTFs to be perm applied. If you've not done that it does it for you and adds partial IPLs to the processes so 'YMMV' in that case!

You'd get #1. Do it all the time.
Exceptions: Some PTF's will apply themselves permanent upon initial install. It is often noted in the initial PTF cover letter (although I rarely read them). Even if you say temp it says "forget you, I'm going perm".

Subject: PTF: Perm & Temp together?

If I:

1. Run the command to perm apply existing temp PTFs, no IPL

2. Install new temp PTFs (GO PTF, 8), no IPL

3. Perform an IPL

Will it:

1. Perm apply existing PTFs and temp apply new PTFs

2. Perm apply new and existing PTFs

3. Tear the fabric of space/time, ending all life as we know it

I'm trying to determine which outcome I'd get. Personally, I bet on #1. Can anyone answer this question?

TIA
